CONTENT CREATOR | Social Romances

Sydney-based Social Romances offers elevated content creation for modern romantics. They capture how a moment feels, and tell a story for newlyweds to relive the next day, to share on their socials, or to hold on to. Social Romances believes that it’s all the emotions, connections and details found in the in-between moments between a couple and their guests, that make their wedding day so special.

Where are you based?

I’m based in Bronte in Sydney, Australia, and available worldwide.

What inspires you?

I’m inspired by all of the beautiful moments that happen in life, often without anyone noticing. I’m drawn to details like the light catching a glass of wine being poured, a couple walking hand in hand, a boat floating quietly in the ocean, and I love how these elements pull together to create beautiful scenes. I’m also a romantic so I’m inspired by love!

How would you describe your working style?

My relaxed approach is to blend in somewhere between the guests and the rest of the photography videography team, to allow everyone to stay completely in the moment. I’m a quiet observer which allows me to capture a unique perspective of the beautiful moments that happen naturally on a wedding day. I’m calm and warm by nature, so I also bring a sense of these feelings to the day.

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

I shoot on an iPhone 15 Pro Max and sometimes on a Sony Handycam HDR-CX405.

Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?

Yes of course, and we can curate the content captured based on the couples vision! We love that each couple and wedding is unique.

What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?

I really love our camcorder add on, it’s definitely a favourite. It makes me so nostalgic for the camcorder my dad used to film our family on 20 years ago! It captures the day in such a beautiful way and I love editing camcorder clips into reels alongside iPhone content, I think the juxtaposition between both styles is so fun to look back on.

Where would you love to travel to for work?

I’ve just returned from a trip to Italy and it was incredible, I’d love to go back again for the next European summer season! We also have a wedding in a castle in Ireland coming up which is a dream come true! Travel has always been a big part of my life, so I’d love to travel to more beautiful places like these for weddings.

Who is your dream client?

My dream clients are couples who are true to themselves and who reflect that in what they plan for their wedding. They are intentional about the aesthetic details of their celebration, and want their day to be a beautiful experience for themselves and all of their loved ones. They want their day captured in a way that is artful, considered and aligned with their own style.

What is your advice to couples getting married?

Stay present! Sneak away for a quiet moment together if you can. Even better, try not to leave each other’s sides. I really believe it’s so important to try to take moments to look around and soak it all in. If you get caught up in the day (it happens, and it goes by so quickly), take the time to look through your gallery of content and be reminded of how you felt in those moments!
