Ethereal Romance

The idea for this editorial was inspired by a wish to explore femininity in a more expressive and daring way. Photographer Chelsea Gurr Photography and planner August in Bloom aimed for something lavish and without contraints. Influenced by Marie Antoinette, Moooi Fleur embraced colorful and textural florals in a playful yet deliberate manner.
Styling was ethereal and complemented the feminine and maximalist mood. Dramatic pink draping created a focal point and ceremony space, with an exaggerated bunch of pink tulips wrapped theatrically in tulle, framing the scene.
During the planning process, the creative team continually revisited the balance between old-world charm and a modern perspective, ensuring they achieved the desired outcome. Instead of striving for a perfect equilibrium, the team excelled in allowing the two elements to coexist in a beautifully tense way. The result is a softer, slightly undone version of opulence that remains contemporary.
