Tell us a little about yourselves!

15 years ago, Louise worked at the uni bookstore when she served Frederic. Little did he know, he’d spend the next 12 years returning the favour.

Jokes aside, our life together has been spontaneous, full of adventure and, above all, filled with laughter.

Why did you decide to get married where you did?

Brisbane is where we both grew up and where we met. Although life has taken us around the world, Brisbane holds a lot of sentimental value for both of us.

How many guests did you have?

10.

What was your budget?

We didn’t have a budget, but we spent under $20k.

Tell us about your outfits.

Frederic wore a PJohnson suit.

Louise found both wedding fits 6 weeks before the wedding. The Kamperett set arrived on Christmas Eve, followed swiftly by the realisation that Brisbane in January is hot and steamy. Enter the Beare Park dress – it screamed peak summer.

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

Our main priority was to make sure that our wedding was lowkey and easy-going. We didn’t want our wedding to feel like a huge production – just a celebration that stayed true to who we are.

Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?

The most important aspect of the wedding for the both of us was to ensure everyone felt relaxed, while making sure that moment was captured along the way.

Any tips for couples getting married?

Don’t take it too seriously and do it for yourselves – however wild, weird or boring you want it to be.

Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?

Taylor Kezia Photography is a phenomenal photographer who was able to capture the most magical moments. The framing, the lighting, the vibe…everything! Taylor is incredibly talented and I couldn’t recommend her more.
