Tell us a little about yourselves!

In true modern fashion, we met on a dating app. At the time, we were living on opposite sides of the country and navigating life in the midst of a global pandemic. With travel restrictions and distance between us, the odds weren’t exactly in our favor but we decided to take a chance.

Jared flew me out to meet him while he was temporarily living in Miami, and from the moment we met, everything just felt easy. What began as a long-distance connection quickly evolved into something real and lasting.

After a few years of cross-country flights and countless FaceTime calls, I moved to New York City, so we could finally start our life together. Not long after, Jared completely surprised me with a proposal during our trip to Turks & Caicos – a moment that was simple, heartfelt, and perfectly us. It marked the beginning of our next chapter together.

Why did you decide to get married where you did?

I spent a summer living in Florence during my undergraduate studies, and it completely captured my heart. The culture, the pace of life, and especially the warmth of the people left such a lasting impression on me. It’s a place that always felt special.

Jared had never been to Italy before the wedding, which made it all the more meaningful. Experiencing it together for the first time surrounded by our closest friends and family – felt surreal. It was the perfect blend of personal nostalgia for me and new adventure for him.

How many guests did you have?

We had just under 60 guests, which felt absolutely perfect for us. Over the course of our three-day celebration, we were able to spend quality time with each of our loved ones. With the villa booked for five days, we had an intimate window to connect with our family, which allowed us to truly savor every moment of the celebration.

What was your budget?

From the very beginning, our focus was on creating a meaningful experience for our guests while incorporating thoughtful, beautiful touches throughout the celebration. We truly believe that less can be more, and approaching every decision with intention allowed us to create a wedding that felt personal, intimate, and completely reflective of who we are as a couple.

Tell us about your outfits.

I wanted a non-traditional wedding gown — something that captured the romance and essence of Italy. When I tried on my gown designed by Saint Bridal Couture, I felt like Juliet, ready to frolic through the hills of Tuscany. The skirt has an incredible asymmetrical shape, and the delicate ribbons on the shoulders add a soft, romantic movement that makes the gown feel alive. It was whimsical, elegant, and completely in tune with the mood we wanted for our wedding.

Jared wore a custom tuxedo from SuitSupply, featuring an off-white jacket that contrasted perfectly with classic black tuxedo pants. The look was timeless yet modern, complementing the romantic, Italian setting. Together, our outfits felt thoughtfully curated, reflecting both our personalities and the overall aesthetic of our celebration.

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

For us, the most important thing was that our wedding felt intimate and personal. Beyond the beauty of the setting, we wanted to create an experience that our guests could feel and remember — from the music to the food that brought everyone together, and every thoughtful detail in between. One of our favorite moments was seeing everyone revel in the stunning Villa Le Capanne, especially as they savored a wedding dinner lovingly prepared by an Italian grandmother. It was a joy to watch our guests fully immersed in the beauty, the flavors, and the spirit of the celebration, making every moment feel even more meaningful and unforgettable.

Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?

One of the most meaningful aspects of our wedding week was having our immediate families stay at Villa Le Capanne. Each morning, we gathered for breakfast outdoors, taking in the breathtaking views. During the days, we explored together — from scenic hikes and wine tastings to leisurely walks through Volterra — and each evening we returned to the villa for sunset dinners. The meals were unforgettable: homemade, fresh pasta prepared in the villa kitchen. Having all of our loved ones together in such an intimate setting made the week leading up to our wedding feel truly special, creating memories we will treasure forever.

Any tips for couples getting married?

Take your time and be intentional with every vendor you choose. I spent countless hours on social media curating and selecting each vendor, and I made sure to speak with multiple options to find the ones that best aligned with both our vision and our budget. The process took effort, but it was truly worth it. Each vendor we worked with contributed to an incredible experience — and trusting them completely allowed us to relax and fully enjoy our day. Knowing we could rely on each person made the celebration feel effortless and far less stressful than we ever imagined.

Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?

Some vendors are with you for much of the day, and having a personal connection makes all the difference.

Our photographer, Samantha Rivieccio, and videographer, Ray Swanson (Swansnap), perfectly captured our vision with a style that harmonized beautifully in every shot.

Starting the day with Emma Moretti for hair and makeup was pure joy, and the floral designs by Magnolia Fiori left us and our guests in awe.

Each vendor helped make our wedding feel effortless, intimate, and unforgettable.
