Wedding | Gabriela & Nic

Tell us a little about yourselves!
We’re based in NYC and have been together for almost a decade. We’re both very creative, and we love traveling, trying new restaurants, and finding new places to explore together.
Why did you decide to get married where you did?
We chose Biarritz because it felt like the perfect blend of everything we love - beautiful, relaxed, and effortlessly chic. It was also a special place for us to bring our closest family and friends together and celebrate somewhere that felt like a true escape. We are also both from California and everyone always says it’s like the California of Europe.
How many guests did you have?
65 people.
What was your budget?
50k.
Tell us about your outfits.
The outfits were really special, I found my dress at A Current Affair which is a vintage show. My friends were all in town it was the day before my birthday and I saw it on the rack and ran to try it on in a communal dressing room.
My welcome party look was custom made by one of my best friends Brandi Puckett at Ogura NYC.
What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?
I planned our entire wedding from start to finish. We didn’t have the budget for a planner, and I’m pretty Type A, so I actually loved being involved in every detail. I worked very closely with the Villa Magnan to make everything feel exactly how we imagined it, and it all turned out to be beyond my wildest dreams.
Nic is a graphic designer, so he designed all of our invitations, which we had printed on letterpress, and he hand-cut every single guest’s name card. It was definitely a lot of work, but looking back, it was so worth it.
Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?
We wanted our wedding to feel like a true reflection of us and really embody our relationship and the life we’ve built together. Every detail was meant to feel personal, intentional, and very much like us.
Any tips for couples getting married?
Align on what you want as a couple and don’t be afraid to make the day your own. Anything is possible, but at the end of the day, the most important part is your commitment and love for each other.
Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?
Villa Magnan was absolutely amazing. Zelie and Anne made my wildest wedding dreams come true and were so wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. Aida from Dias de Vino y Rosas, our photographer, captured every moment so beautifully and gave us photos that we’ll treasure forever.
And my best friend Brandi from Ogura created my custom look for our welcome party, which made the weekend feel even more personal and special.
