Why did you decide to get married where you did?

We wanted a place that truly reflected our lifestyle and tastes. Diego is Galician, and we are both huge lovers of wine and gastronomy. I didn’t want a traditional wedding venue because I wanted to feel comfortable and genuinely represented in details or music.

How many guests did you have?

110, and NousNous captured our day.

Tell us about your outfits.

Almost all my clothes are vintage, I love finding treasures in my free time. I went to Paris hoping to find the dress through some of the best fashion houses, but in the end, I stayed true to my own style and found something more me: vintage and sourced online — Chloe by Stella McCartney 1999 — purchased at Lucia Zolea. Also, the pre-wedding dress had been part of my wardrobe for years — a Chloé SS18 piece — and I ultimately decided to wear it just three days before the wedding weekend.

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

What mattered most to us when planning our wedding was staying true to ourselves — feeling comfortable, relaxed, and doing everything by our own rules. We wanted it to feel like a celebration of love in every sense: ours, and the love we share with our friends and family. It became 48 hours of joy with the people closest to us. We kept it intentionally small so we could truly spend time with every guest.

Music: full time good quality music that truly reflected our musical taste.

Most important, we wanted to enjoy the process without adding extra stress to our lives, so we knew we needed help. Animae were the perfect choice — we loved both their style and the feeling behind all their previous weddings. We’d choose them again in a heartbeat.

Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?

I didn’t really know what I liked about weddings, but I was very clear about what I didn’t want. I didn’t want to carry a bouquet, I didn’t want to wear optical white and I wanted to arrive with Diego. After nine years together, arriving and getting dressed together felt natural, with friends constantly coming in and out of the room creating a relaxed atmosphere.

We wanted it to feel more like a village fête or a big family gathering than a traditional wedding — that’s why we chose one long table and shared dishes. No flying napkins or awkward dances.

Any tips for couples getting married?

Stay true to yourself, enjoy every moment, and don’t feel the need to overdo anything.
