Tell us a little about yourselves!

I’m a photographer and Maryan works in finance in Geneva. We met 12 years ago through my little sister, who was one of Maryan’s little brother’s best friends. At the time, we never really had the chance to get to know each other.

It wasn’t until five years ago, during a summer holiday week in Ibiza that my sister had organized, and where we both happened to be, that we really connected. After just 24 hours together, we couldn’t stop talking and wanted to spend every moment of the day with each other.

Why did you decide to get married where you did?

Our souls met in Ibiza, if I may say so in a slightly cheesy way, so it felt almost inevitable that we would get married here, especially at Can Domo, a place that truly captures the beauty and spirit of Ibiza.

How many guests did you have?

We had 120 guests.

Tell us about your outfits.

Alexia: I thought finding my dress would be one of my favorite parts of the whole process, but actually, it ended up taking so much time that it became a little frustrating. In the end, I asked Alice Fresnel, who owns Alfie Paris, to make me a dress. I wanted something with beautiful fabric, a simple cut, and, most importantly, something that would make me feel completely like myself.

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

To pay attention to the details while staying efficient, and not waste time on things that are ultimately a bit futile.

Were there any elements that were important for you to incorporate?

There wasn’t anything specific that we absolutely wanted to incorporate into our wedding, but I wanted the flowers to be the main element, while keeping everything soft and understated.

Most importantly, creating a natural and festive atmosphere was essential to us. That overall feeling was really what mattered most.

Any tips for couples getting married?

I would really recommend organizing everything well in advance, so that a few days before the wedding there is almost nothing left to take care of or go over. Instead, you can use those last few days to relax, rest, and enjoy the moment.

The best part of our wedding was that, for most of our guests, we were all staying at the venue surrounded by our closest friends for four or five days. We really got to make the most of having everyone together, seeing our friends at breakfast before and after the wedding, and simply spending

time together. It was amazing! So, if that’s an option, we highly recommend it!

Are there any vendors that you would like to tell us a little more about?

Our floral studio, The Floral Studio, owned by Francesca Munizaga, was amazing. Francesca really helped us bring our vision to life and create something truly special, while keeping everything feeling natural, relaxed, and never too stuffy. She lives in Ibiza and have an organic flower farm, so most flowers were coming from her garden in Ibiza.
