Real Wedding | Marie + Julien

Marie and Julien who are both French, were engaged in Namibia and got married on the beautiful island of Formentera off Spain, as it reminded them of Mexico where they met 10 years prior.  Needless to say this amazing couple had me on that story alone.

While the stunning island wedding also included a welcome party, the couple made things official during a civil ceremony a few months before their island elopement. The couple decided to have their civil ceremony in Julien's home town of Lille and host a beautiful garden party to celebrate their official marriage. They loved the simplicity and it was a great opportunity for all their friends to meet. With Jules in Gucci and Marie in a Victoire Vermeulen hat, the couple looked incredibly elegant and chic.

90 friends and family then joined them on their second celebration on the island Formentera a couple of months after, documented by Franco Giomi.

The couples' priority was to have a celebration that completely reflected them and that was key to their decisions for the day. They hosted welcome drinks on the evening before their party, with Marie wearing a sparkly gold Runaway Scout dress. The following day they had a church wedding with Marie wearing a Jesus Peiro slip, followed by a relaxed reception at the Restaurant 10 Punto 7

What is their advice to any couples planning their wedding? "It’s your wedding, do not let anyone tell you what you have to do  And do not forget to enjoy every moment. "
