Kelli Christine is based in Denver, Colorado and travels worldwide for weddings. She offers digital and film photography and has recently returned from capturing weddings in Lake Como, Italy. We recently asked Kelli Christine to share more about her photography business with us.
What motivates you to do what you do?
My personal relationships mean the most to me, and I know we all want to feel loved and make deeper connections with the people around us. Photography seems to be a constant in my life since I was born, and I will always cherish my family photos and all of the home videos that my parents filmed. I the small and big moments of a wedding day are so precious and sentimental, and I take a lot of pride in knowing that the photos will be shared for generations.
What is a favourite service that you offer and why?
International wedding photography. I absolutely love to travel and experience different cultures all over the world. I think destination weddings are great way for couples to provide an experience for their guests, and it’s a great way for me to really dive deep into their interpersonal relationships.
If you could describe your business in three words, what would they be?
Effortless, Elevated, Chic.
How would you describe your style?
Elegant film photography for chic, artistic couples.
What is your ideal work destination?
Italy, Ireland, France, England, Anywhere in Southeast Asia. I love a good al fresco reception with food and music that celebrates the couples’ cultures, or the culture of the destination we are in!
What is your favourite travel destination?
This is the hardest question for me to answer, but my mind always goes back to Tuscany! The food, the people, the views, and sooooo much wine to enjoy.
Who is your dream client?
The Harry Styles type. Very creative, kind and has a love of personal style, fashion, and music.
What is your most memorable career moment?
I was lucky enough to book a session in Lake Como, Italy. We rented a boat and spent a beautiful morning cruising around the lake while taking photos, popping champagne and listening to Frank Sinatra. I felt like I was in a movie!
What inspires you?
Fashion and music. Fun style and a killer playlist is my love language.
What is your advice to couples getting married?
Be yourself and do what feels like YOU. Don’t listen to trends. Your best wedding day will happen when you feel like you are in your element. Also, have fun with your style! It’s a special day, so why not wear something you have always wanted to wear? Be bold.
What would you like couples to know about you?
My approach to photographing couples is to catch you being your authentic selves. I love being a fly on the wall. I’m always willing to pose couples, but it’s so much fun to just feel like I’m getting a peek into your simple, but special life with each other.
