Tell us about your business!
I'm Jannet, a California–based wedding photographer working with couples across the country and beyond. My background as a classical musician shapes how I shoot — I'm listening for rhythm and feeling as much as I'm looking for light. I work with modern, intentional couples who want their day to feel like them, and I bring an artful, editorial eye to every part of the story, from getting-ready to last dance.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes, I travel for weddings and love it - new places bring new light, new textures, and new stories to tell. It's one of my favorite parts of this work.
How would you describe your style?
My style lives at the intersection of stillness and romance — quiet, editorial, and unhurried. I meet each couple where they are: some need a little direction to find a moment, others come alive when I just let them be. Either way, I'm chasing the same thing — images that feel timeless rather than trendy, something you'll love just as much in twenty years as you do today.
What is your most memorable career moment?
Honestly, there are so many — but the moments I cherish most are when a couple becomes more than a client. When the relationship keeps going past the wedding day and turns into real friendship, that's when I know the work meant something.
What inspires you?
I find inspiration in fashion, architecture, art, and travel — the way structure and softness play together. I could spend hours in a gallery studying Northern Renaissance portraiture or Impressionist light. My background in classical music trained my eye for rhythm and composition long before I ever picked up a camera.
How would you describe your working style?
I'm intentional and collaborative — I like to know each couple well enough to adapt on the day, whether that means stepping in with gentle direction or stepping back and letting things unfold. Communication is at the center of how I work, from planning through delivery, so there are no surprises and my couples feel taken care of the whole way through.
Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?
I shoot both film and digital, and I'm intentional with every frame — especially on film. That discipline shapes how I shoot digitally too, so every image, on either medium, is composed with purpose, working toward the unique story of that couple.
Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?
Yes — every package is tailored to the couple. Coverage, deliverables, and add-ons all flex around what your day actually needs, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?
Film photography—where beauty lies in the imperfect, the unplanned, and the fleeting. It’s a reminder that the most meaningful moments aren’t about control but about embracing the essence of life as it unfolds.
Where would you love to travel to for work?
Anywhere with a unique venue or unfamiliar culture gets me excited to shoot — Italy, France, England, Vietnam, China, the East Coast, wherever the story takes me. Every destination brings its own light, texture, and rhythm to work with.
Who is your dream client?
My dream client is laid-back, fashion-forward, and authentic — someone who has a clear sense of style but trusts their vendor team to bring the vision to life. They're not afraid to show love and tenderness openly, because that sincerity is what lets me tell their story well. Chemistry is everything — it's what makes a day feel alive in photos.
What is your advice to couples getting married?
My advice? Communication is key — with each other, and with your vendor team. The couples who lean into honest conversation, even when it's hard, are the ones who end up with the most joyful, present wedding days.
