Adelaide-based Jaz and Alejandro from In The Mood For Love, united both in life and in their craft, specialise in wedding photography and videography for couples who are envisioning a celebration filled with fine wine, exquisite food, thoughtful details - and, most importantly, cherished moments with loved ones. In The Mood For Love's approach blends the best of both worlds: the precision and flexibility of digital photography and videography, alongside the nostalgic charm of vintage 35mm and super 8mm video, offering a perfect fusion of modern artistry and classic nostalgia.
Tell us about In The Mood For Love!
Hola! We are Jaz and Alejandro, a creative couple (in life and business) with Australian and South American roots. Our journey together began serendipitously while traveling. Both travellers and artists who love to see the world through analog lenses, we found our place in this world in wedding photography and videography. Since then, we have combined our backgrounds in fine art, language translations, and luxury hospitality with our appreciation for timelessness fashion, films and movies to create a refined approach to wedding photography and videography.
We connected deeply with the emotion, the artistry and creativity, the celebratory joy, and the beauty of intimate moments between the people you love the most. And, we hold immense gratitude for the trust we're given to capture such an invaluable day.
What would you like couples to know about you?
Our name, In The Mood for Love, was inspired by one of our all-time favourite films - a film that has stayed with me (Jaz) since I first saw it over 20 years ago. Its beauty, mood, and quiet intensity continue to move me, just as they did back then. That’s the feeling we hope to evoke in our work - to create work that it is cherished not only for years, but hopefully for generations.
Where are you based?
After many years of travelling we found ourselves settling in Adelaide, Australia.
Do you travel for weddings?
While Adelaide is our home, we are always open to conversations about weddings in exclusive destinations across the northern hemisphere during spring and summer.
How would you describe your style?
My style is an intentional blend of candid documentary and refined editorial. It’s about capturing the imperfect beauty of real life alongside thoughtfully composed images that feel timeless and artful. I combine both approaches - letting real moments unfold naturally, while also setting aside time for curated and intentional storytelling.
What inspires you?
As cliche as it might sound, we are inspired by the couple, their love for each other, their connections with their loved ones, their style and all the beautiful things they surround themselves with.
We are inspired by intentional, well-considered, love filled weddings with interesting and unique style, a beautiful venue and awesome people.
We also find inspiration in art, films, travel and fashion.
How would you describe your working style?
I love working with each couple’s wedding day inspiration - whether it arrives in a Pinterest board, DMs in Instagram, or a carefully curated PDF. I truly enjoy the collaborative process, with the couple leading the vision and us working together to bring it to life. This often includes chats and catch-ups in the lead-up, while helps us get to know each other and refine their vision.
On the day, our style is relaxed and friendly - we want everyone to feel comfortable and at ease with us around. We gently guide people toward the best light, positions, or poses to make the most of each moment, all while keeping the energy joyful and the experience fun. Our goal is to enhance the day, not interrupt it - making sure the photography feels like a natural part of the celebration, not a distraction from it.
Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?
We shoot digitals, 35mm film and super 8mm.
Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?
Yes, most definitely! We encourage couples to let us know as much as they can about their wedding plans so we can customise if needed.
Where would you love to travel to for work?
Spain! A move to Spain at some stage is always in our minds. For now, we would love any enquiries for that part of the world over the May - August months. Alejandro is a native Spanish speaker, while I (Jaz) am enthusiastically learning.
Who is your dream client?
We’re most inspired by couples who lead with intention - those who craft a celebration that reflects their story, love deeply, and are genuinely excited for the day. We connect with those who value creativity, collaboration, and the people around them.
It’s always a joy when couples thoughtfully consider the style of their day - especially what they wear. Our dream aesthetic is intentional, timeless, and a little nostalgic - like European elegance or retro twist.
What is your advice to couples getting married?
Consider having a wedding planner or on-the-day coordinator. A wedding isn’t just a party — it’s a full-day event involving multiple vendors, guests, family dynamics, and often more than one location. Having someone to manage the details allows you to be fully present and enjoy the experience.
And most importantly - savour it. Time is an interesting concept especially on a wedding day. You don’t want it all to pass before you’ve had a chance to truly take it in.
