Tell us about Giada Joey Studio!

I am a wedding and editorial photographer dedicated to capturing love in its most authentic, sophisticated, and raw form. My work is a continuous search for beauty in the unplanned—blending a high-fashion aesthetic with a deep documentary soul. I specialize in multi-day destination weddings, where I strive to create a visual legacy that feels like a cinematic journey rather than just a collection of photos. For me, it’s about the atmosphere, the textures, and the silent emotions that define a couple's unique style.

What would you like couples to know about you?

I am a deeply empathetic storyteller who believes that the best images are born from a genuine connection. I’m the kind of photographer who still gets moved to tears during a ceremony; I lead with my heart to ensure your emotions feel seen and valued. I love to bring a sense of fun and ease to the day—I don’t ‘direct’ or over-pose; instead, I guide you with discretion, making sure you enjoy every moment while we create a gallery that feels like it belongs on the pages of a high-fashion magazine.

Where are you based?

I am Italian, based between Rome and Turin, but I am constantly traveling across Italy for my work. I have a particular love for Tuscany, where I work very frequently, and I do not apply additional travel fees for weddings within Italy.

Do you travel for weddings?

I am always excited to travel. I have already captured stories in London, Paris, Portugal, and NYC. For inspiring destination projects abroad, I am happy to offer special custom packages to make the magic happen.

How would you describe your style?

My style is a blend of nostalgic documentary and effortless editorial. I focus on the 'in-between' moments—the raw, unscripted fragments of the day that a traditional lens might miss.

I love to mix a deeply romantic soul with a modern, high-fashion edge. My goal is to capture the authentic energy of the couple without forced posing, creating images that feel like a cinematic memory. It’s about being present enough to feel the emotion, but discreet enough to let it happen naturally.

What is your most memorable career moment?

It’s a tie between two incredible extremes that define my love for this job.

One was taking a helicopter to the peaks of the Dolomites at sunset; witnessing an intimate exchange of vows surrounded only by the silent, pink-tinted mountains was spiritually moving. The other was a soulful wedding on the Portuguese oceanfront, a handful of guests, surfers on the horizon, and ending the day with everyone jumping into the sea for a twilight swim. Both moments reminded me why I do this: to capture the raw beauty of nature and the fearless joy of couples who celebrate their own way.

What inspires you?

My primary source of inspiration is life itself. I’m a keen observer of people—the subtle choreography of their movements, the silent language of their glances. Traveling is my way of expanding my emotional horizon, collecting cultures and stories that I weave into every event I document. My vision is shaped by the framing of cinema, the depth of art, and, above all, the raw honesty of light.

How would you describe your working style?

My working style is defined by quiet observation and a deep respect for natural light. I don’t believe in directing the day; I believe in documenting the flow. I move like a discreet guest, capturing the subtle choreography of your movements and the raw honesty of your glances. My goal is to create a cinematic legacy that feels like you, not like a staged performance.

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

Both! Digital and 35mm.

Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?

Yes, absolutely. I believe that every wedding is a unique story with its own rhythm, which is why I offer bespoke packages tailored to the specific needs and vision of each couple. Whether it is an intimate elopement or a multi-day celebration, I work closely with my clients to create a customized photography experience that fits their event perfectly.

What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?

My favorite is definitely the Hybrid Package (Digital & Analog Film). It offers the best of both worlds: the reliability and speed of digital for capturing every fleeting moment, alongside the soulful, nostalgic 'vibe' of real film.

I’m particularly proud of my post-production process—I’ve spent years perfecting a signature look that gives my digital files a timeless, film-inspired aesthetic. This ensures a consistent, artistic flow across the entire gallery, blending modern precision with that raw, cinematic texture I love.

Where would you love to travel to for work?

Cuba, Mexico, Japan, USA.

Who is your dream client?

My dream clients are those who value presence over performance. They are souls who aren't afraid of the wind in their hair or an unscripted tear. They trust the process and me, allowing their story to unfold naturally. They appreciate the beauty of a glance and the honesty of light, understanding that the best memories are found in the 'unpolished' moments.

What is your advice to couples getting married?

My best advice is to embrace the 'perfectly imperfect' and trust the energy of the moment. Don't get caught up in the stress of the timeline; instead, focus on each other and the people you love. The most breathtaking photos aren't the ones where everything is perfectly in place, but the ones where you are laughing, dancing, and being your true selves. Trust your photographer, let go of expectations, and just have fun—because when you are genuinely enjoying yourself, that’s when the real magic happens.
