Tell us about your business!

Hello! My name is Chloe Huls, I am an international documentary photographer. I grew up in the Sonoran Desert, splitting time between Arizona and Mexico. I began traveling and experiencing different cultures from a young age. My upbringing lead me into pursuing a career in photography documenting people, and places that impacted and inspired me the most. What began as a way to document the world around me has grown into a meaningful business. I specialize in both digital and film photography. I’m drawn to the timeless colors and nostalgic tones of film and the crisp clarity of digital—it’s the blend of both that helps me create a soulful body of work. Outside of photographing weddings, I pursue photography as fine art displaying my work through exhibitions, galleries, and prints.

If you were to meet me in the real world I would probably be at a cafe drinking a cappuccino having a deep conversation with a good friend. I value community and family deeply, and that intimacy shows in my work—not just the love between two people, but the love that surrounds them. Sometimes a photograph becomes the last memory we have of someone. That’s a responsibility I carry with great care. My business gives me a window into these sacred moments of peoples lives, to me it’s more than just a job—it’s my way of honoring and documenting a life lived.

Where are you based?

I am currently based in Phoenix, Arizona, but I am moving to Barcelona, Spain fall of 2025 and would love to be serving Spain and neighboring European countries.

Do you travel for weddings?

I love to travel for weddings! I’ve done weddings all over the world and will continue to go wherever I need to go in order to document your special day.

How would you describe your style?

Artful, Timeless, Full of Life.

What is your most memorable career moment?

In 2022 I photographed my first European wedding in Austria. I took two planes, 4 trains and a bus to get to this tiny town in Spittal, Austria. It was such a marking moment in my career because it was such an intimate and unique cultural experience that made me have a greater appreciation for weddings that take place all over the world.

What inspires you?

People, culture and places. I am most inspired when I am traveling. I love to document various environments, finding beauty in new places and old. I am forever always inspired by artists : painters, dancers, videographers, chefs. There is so much art all around us and one of my favorite things to capture is an Artist doing their Art.

How would you describe your working style?

I feel like my style is laid back, always observing but will step in and give direction when needed with an editorial and artful approach. I love to document real time moments - capturing the way your wedding feels.

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

I shoot both digital and film. I love the timeliness, colors and one on one shots that you get with film but also love how digital complements the film, giving you a full gallery of different perspectives and feels of your day. I think using a mix of both you truly get the best of both worlds.

Where would you love to travel to for work?

I would love to photograph more weddings internationally, in Europe - Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, as well as Australia, and South America, I am here for it all.

Who is your dream client?

My dream client is someone who values creativity, intentionality, and trust. They care deeply about meaningful design and personal touches that reflect their story—not just trends. They’re laid-back, present, and more focused on connection than perfection. Most of all, they trust me to do what I do best—capture the real, in-between moments—so they can fully live and enjoy their day.
