Tell us about your business!

I am a wedding photographer since 2018. I started my business after deciding to stop working in the medical world and start working for myself. As I’ve grown in photography, I’ve focused on walking that fine line of posed and unposed. I photograph for couples around the world and have loved every single minute of it. Its a blessing to get to work something that not only brings my soul joy but also others as I get to capture the happiest days of their lives.

What would you like couples to know about you?

That I am truly going to be your biggest cheerleader on wedding day. I’m going to do my best to make you feel comfortable and hot. My love for photography also stems from making people feel like a million bucks. I too love to look and feel good in front of the camera so I do my best to do that with my clients. I would like to boast just a tad and say that I am really good at reading the room and body language so when I see or read that people are comfortable, I’ve done a good job. And when people are not, I do everything I can to turn that around.

Where are you based?

In Tampa, Florida.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes, definitely.

How would you describe your style?

Effortless, real, true to tone, classic and of course film inspired. I want people to feel good in their photos so I focus a lot on the emotion that is happening. When the time arises that we need a pose or even go a little editorial, then I absolutely soak that up.

What is your most memorable career moment?

Aside from getting raving reviews from happy clients (love words!), traveling to Greece for a destination wedding. That was absolutely incredible, not only to experience that, but also document in such a gorgeous location.

What inspires you?

I have a list: old movies (I grew up on them, thanks Dad), written letters, water, great light, when couples are obsessed with one another, new locations, connection. Every relationship is so different and I love taking that and photographing people according to their likes. If they want more posed, then we do that, if not - we go for candid.

What motivates you to do what you do?

Photography is far from a way to make money. Yes, of course that’s a bonus, but it’s a passion of mine. I’ve always loved taking photos but now that I get to photograph people falling in love, being in love, starting a new chapter of life, that is seriously what drives me. Every time I leave a wedding, I leave on a high, feeding off the adrenaline of witnessing beautiful people say yes to one another.

How would you describe your working style?

Creating a relationship with my couples is super important to me. As a photographer, on a wedding day, we probably will spend the most amount of time with the couple. They’re the guests of honor of course and I want to get to know them as much as I can, so that on wedding day we do a beautiful dance of getting fun gorgeous photos that feel like them, whilst also enjoying their wedding day. The last thing I want is for a couple to feel like they had a huge photoshoot instead of a wedding.

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

I shoot on both digital and film cameras.

Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?

I can and will customize everything because everyone has different needs. I have 3 different packages however, to serve three different types of weddings and wedding weekends.

What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?

My favorite product is film photography. There’s nothing like it; it’s true colors, the texture in photo, how authentic and real it looks and feels. It tops digital work every time.

My favorite service is my weekender package and it’s exactly that: a package for the couple that wants everything photographed. I love this for the totally selfish reason that I get to witness the whole weekend go down, I get to really create a relationship with not only the couple more, but parents, bridal party, grandma! Again, connection is huge for me and this package really allows room for that to happen.

Where would you love to travel to for work?

Spain, France, the UK, Morocco, Thailand, Wyoming, Hawaii, and Maine. Just to name a few.

Who is your dream client?

Two things:

1. Couples that are so so in love and excited to start a new chapter of life together.

2. Couples that love my work and want me for me, my vibe and the product I deliver.

What is your advice to couples getting married?

Get a planner, figure out your budget, write down what’s most important to you guys and what you want to ‘experience’ on your wedding day. For photography specifically, find a photographer that you not only love how they photograph, how they edit but also make sure you get on the phone and love them. You will be spending the most amount of time with your photographer and videographer so make sure you really like their vibe, how they talk and laugh, how they pose, all those things, because you want to be surrounded by vendors that make you feel amazing and cared for on your wedding day.
