Tell us about Alexia Linn!

Hi! My name is Alexia Linda Palluel, also known as Alexia Linn.

I am a wedding photographer based in Switzerland. I started my business in 2019 and made the leap to full-time freelance photography in 2023. Since then, I have had the privilege of documenting weddings all across Switzerland and throughout Europe.

In 2024, I introduced analog photography into my wedding packages, and it completely transformed my approach to photography. What began as an additional offering quickly became the heart of my work. Today, film photography is not just a part of my business—it defines my artistic vision, influences the way I photograph, and shapes the timeless editing style that has become my signature.

I am drawn to the authenticity, softness, and imperfections of film. It encourages a slower, more intentional way of working and allows me to create images that feel honest, emotional, and enduring.

What would you like couples to know about you?

I am deeply moved by stories and human connection. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and

Social Sciences, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Film Aesthetics. Movies have always had a profound impact on me, and I became fascinated by the art of making them from a very young age. Before becoming a photographer, I worked as a videographer, so light, composition, and framing have always been at the heart of my creative passion.

As for human connection, I am a highly sensitive person. I tend to feel things deeply, and having the privilege of witnessing so many love stories is incredibly meaningful to me. Each one touches me in

a unique way and reminds me why I love what I do.

Where are you based?

I am based in a small town on the Swiss Riviera named St-Légier (near Montreux), between the lake and the mountains.

Do you travel for weddings?

I would go to the ends of the world for a love story. I've traveled extensively throughout Europe and have also had the opportunity to photograph a wedding in the United States. I would love to explore even more countries and cultures, as I am endlessly curious about discovering traditions and ways of celebrating love that are different from my own.

Every destination, every culture, and every story is a chance to learn, connect, and see the world through a new perspective.

How would you describe your style?

My approach is documentary at its core, shaped by a cinematic eye developed through years of studying film and a deep curiosity about human nature nurtured by my background in psychology.

I am drawn to authentic moments—the quiet glances, spontaneous laughter, gentle touches, and raw emotions that unfold when people feel truly present and free to be themselves.

Rather than orchestrating every scene, I seek to document life as it happens, preserving the beauty of what is real. My intention is to create images that not only tell your story but allow you to feel it again, years from now.

What is your most memorable career moment?

A wedding in Portugal, without a doubt.

I arrived the day before expecting a traditional welcome party, but instead, the couple had organized a treasure hunt. We spent the evening running around like maniacs looking for clues, and it turned into one of the funniest and most memorable experiences of my career. We're still friends to this day, which makes it even more special.

What I love most about weddings is that you never really know how people are going to celebrate their love. Every couple does things their own way, and I always end up sharing unforgettable moments with them.

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

I work with both digital and film photography, although my heart belongs to film.

For couples who embrace the experience, I can document most of the wedding on film. It means fewer images, but each one is created with intention. The process is slower, more thoughtful, and ultimately more curated, focusing on quality, emotion, and storytelling rather than volume.

Where would you love to travel to for work?

I would love to photograph weddings in Paris, the South of France, and Italy—especially in cities like Rome and Florence.

But my wildest dream? Hawaii.

I've always been drawn to places where nature feels bigger than life itself, and Hawaii has that perfect mix of stunning landscapes, culture, adventure, and romance. One day, I would love to follow a couple there and tell their story through my lens.

Who is your dream client?

My dream clients are not necessarily the ones planning the biggest weddings, but the ones who value experiences, beauty, and authenticity.

They are creative souls with a strong sense of who they are. They care about aesthetics, but they care even more about creating meaningful memories with the people they love. They are not afraid to do things differently, to break traditions, or to plan a celebration that truly reflects their personality.

Whether they are getting married in a villa in Tuscany, a château in the South of France, a stylish city venue in Paris, or somewhere completely unexpected, they understand the value of photography as an investment and want images that feel timeless rather than trendy.

Above all, they are adventurous, emotionally open, and a little unconventional. The kind of people who would rather create an unforgettable experience than follow a wedding checklist.

What is your advice to couples getting married?

Be yourselves.

Let go of expectations and traditions that don’t feel aligned with you. Your wedding is not a performance, but a celebration of your love, your story, your connection. Be present in the moment, feeling, breathing, living it as it unfolds. I am there to gently document your day, preserving what it felt like long after the music has faded.

Choosing a photographer is never only about style. It is about connection. A feeling of ease, of trust, of recognition. When it is the right person, you don’t need to overthink it, you simply feel it.
