The inspiration behind this Italian editorial came from nature and the beautiful location La Foleia.
Once Agnese Sogna Sempre and photographer Anna Visintin visited the venue, they knew that they wanted to create a romantic mood; an editorial that was a natural extension of the venue and its surrounds.
La Foleia is a special, recently renovated venue. Once an oak forest, it became a property with a 4000 sqm circle of water filled with a private, natural spring from the Ticino river. On the lake’s two opposite shores are two mirrored houses. Around them, like curtains adorning the edges of a home, an unmissable variety of trees, plants and flowers, a secret, unimaginable garden, that can’t even be fathomed from the gate outside. In spring, the water lilies bloom exposing their pink flowers and the lake’s mirror becomes surprising, with fish, dragonflies filling the air and ducklings swimming among the plants. A magical place mirroring art.
Surrounded by nature and so much beauty, the creative team were immediately catapulted into the ethereal and dreamy atmosphere of a fairy tale, likened to "Déjouner Sur L'herbe" with a modern and contemporary touch. Designer Francesca Piccini's breathtaking gowns perfectly complemented the dreamy atmosphere and natural surrounds, The editorial also came to life through the work of Sofia from Il profumo dei Fiori, and with graphics from Alice at Studio Alipsi.
All other details came together in in a very fluid way. The team understood that they would create something elegant and refined. The choice of raw fabrics and material mise en place, by Fati Amor Design, Table Set Rentals and Sofi Design. The beautiful, textural wedding cake by Mami Louise provided yet another elegant addition. Judy Bedetti from Belleza de Ma Studio effortlessly interpreted the mood and mirrored it with her hair and makeup artistry; breathtaking accessories and jewels handmade by Taala were created for Yulia Fedotova, the beautiful muse and model.
