Marisoul Studio is a bilingual duo that focuses on heartfelt, personal moments and emotions. They create storytelling films for couples seeking a team that documents their wedding day organically while remaining artistic and immersive. Marisoul Studio is based in Barcelona, Spain, and documents weddings across Europe and the UK.

Tell us about Marisoul Studio! 

We’re a wedding filmmaking couple creating candid, emotional and wholesome films with personal storytelling at the heart of them. We’re inspired by European celebrations, family gatherings, and the feeling of watching an old home-movie (but with a modern, artful twist!) 

What would you like couples to know about you? 

Our films are made with your future in mind. We create films that grow more meaningful as the years go by. When we bring your film to life in post-production, we’re thinking about how it will feel when you rewatch it 10 or 20 years from now. 

Where are you based? 

We are based out of Barcelona, Spain and document weddings across Europe and the UK. 

Do you travel for weddings? 

Yes! Europe is home to us, and so we travel often for destination weddings.

How would you describe your style? 

Candid, emotional, nostalgic and rooted in the Mediterranean way of celebrating. Our style is a blend of documentary storytelling with a modern home-movie feel, and artful details. 

What is your most memorable career moment? 

Over the last six years, our work has taken us to places we never imagined. Mexico, Ohio, Florida, Texas and all across Europe. We’re so grateful to have the opportunity to travel and meet incredible people through documenting weddings. 

But the moments we remember most are the messages and calls you send us — the tears after watching your film, or the texts we get years later when you rewatch it on an anniversary and feel like you’re reliving your wedding again.

Our purpose is to create something that grows in value over time. Knowing that your film continues to mean more as the years pass is the most fulfilling part of our job. It’s humbling to know that what we make becomes part of your life in a significant way. 

What inspires you? 

We’re inspired by the warmth and charm of the Mediterranean lifestyle, especially its focus on family, slower life, and noticing the beauty of details. 

The stories you carry also inspire how we approach your films. Weddings have a way of bringing out words and emotions that don’t always surface in everyday life, your loved ones will share honest, heartfelt speeches that will mean the world in future. We’re always looking for those small openings, so your film holds the love and connection your people share with you. It’s these emotions that inspire our style of films. 

How would you describe your working style? 

Warm, calm, and unobtrusive. Our approach is documentary-driven, so we let the events flow organically and document moments as they happen. We focus on making you and your loved ones feel comfortable and cared for. 

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both? 

Both. We blend digital with Super 8mm and camcorder footage. Digital feels present and cinematic, while film adds a nostalgic, memory-like impression. Together, they create a modern home-movie feeling that’s personal, emotional, and timeless. 

Do you have custom packages according to individual needs? 

Absolutely. Our collections can be personalised. We offer additional keepsakes like extended edits, Super 8mm, social media collections, and extra coverage so your collection feels as personal and complete as you want it to be. 

What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?

Definitely our storytelling film. This film is where our style shines most! Sweet, wholesome, personal to you, and built around genuine emotion. This film is included in all of our collections because we believe everyone deserves to have this sweet, heartfelt reminder of their celebration! 

Where would you love to travel to for work? 

We adore places with character. Our eyes are naturally drawn to spaces with beautiful light, texture, warm colours, and a sense of history. Whether it’s an old chateau, a Mediterranean villa, your backyard, a heritage building, or a countryside estate, we love venues that feel like a home you’re borrowing for the weekend. 

We especially enjoy locations that offer different areas throughout the event, so each moment has its own setting. But ultimately, it's always about you and the people you’re bringing together. When a location enhances that connection, it becomes the perfect place for you, which is reflected in your wedding films. 

Europe simply offers the kind of charm and colour palette that align beautifully with our style, but truly, any place that feels meaningful to you is what matters. 

Who is your dream client? 

If you embrace your personalities and your emotions, value the people around you over anything else, and trust us to document your day in an artful, documentary and meaningful way, then our dream client is you. 

How do you select music for your films? 

Music is an important element to our storytelling, and we spend a lot of time choosing it carefully. We study your vows, speeches, and atmosphere to understand the emotion of the day, and then build a soundtrack that supports it naturally. 

Sound effects and ambient audio are just as important as they help elevate the mood and make the film feel immersive. We always ask for trust here, as the right music depends heavily on the emotion of the footage, but if you have a meaningful song in mind, you can always tell us.

What is your advice to couples getting married? 

Focus on each other and the people you love. Build a vendor team you genuinely connect with, and let go of anything that distracts from the joy and true meaning of the day.
