Soléa Lane is a Sydney-based wedding content creation studio. Founded by duo Lydia and Liam, Soléa Lane offers a distinct blend of services, candid content creation, analogue film photography, and Super 8 mini films - all centred on capturing weddings in a warm, authentic, and deeply personal manner.

What would you like couples to know about you?

We genuinely have an interest in capturing our environment. We are always with a camera in our hands and are continuously learning new ways of shooting, editing and learning about the latest equipment.

Where are you based?

Sydney, Australia.

Do you travel for weddings?

Big yes! We have some exciting destinations coming up in 2027, and look forward to connecting with more people around the world.

How would you describe your style?

Documentary, candid, cinematic, perfectly unscripted with natural blemishes. Just as film has imperfections, so do we - which we believe makes every wedding day unique.

What is your most memorable career moment?

I think shooting at Redleaf, Wollombi. That venue has been on my list ever since we started Soléa Lane. I attended a wedding there over 6 years ago now and completely fell in love with it. It is genuinely such a beautiful place. I always had a feeling I needed to come back and capture it from my own point of view.

What inspires you?

Being in nature, traveling, connections between people, light, teachable moments, watching others create and do something they love.

How would you describe your working style?

We let the day unfold itself while we seamlessly intertwine ourselves within it. This enables us to capture the raw emotions of the day and let the couple enjoy and live their day the way they have planned it.

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

We use both to capture your day for different purposes. We use iPhone and camcorder to capture the in-between moments for our content creation packages. This gives us the ability to ensure nothing gets missed, as there really is no limit to how much you can capture with a digital medium. We also shoot Super 8mm videography and film photography for an entirely different purpose. We believe that shooting on film gives your day that cinematic feeling that every love story deserves. Film is magic, a chemical miracle, and using it to shoot your day makes it even more special.

Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?

Yes! We have packages for each medium, with the option to combine packages.

What is a favourite product or service that you offer and why?

Super 8mm videography is our personal favourite. We feel so lucky that we get to film using these beautiful cameras that produce such amazing footage to watch back on. The whole process that it takes to produce this footage makes it even more special. It really takes a village to produce it, and we love the antiquated wait for it. It's magic.

Where would you love to travel to for work?

Dolomites in Italy, we love hiking! Someone please!

Who is your dream client?

Someone who is also a film lover and appreciates the process it takes to produce it.

How do you select music for your films?

We have a conversation with each of our couples before the day, and this is one of our questions! We want your content to have a personal touch and want your input with your favourite songs.
