Inspired by the old world romance and nostalgia of Europe, with a classic timeless aesthetic and a nod to the 1950's, a team of creatives from New Zealand is behind this breathtaking editorial. With a focus on luxury and highlighting local vendors, designers and venues in the area of Queenstown, the creative team led by The Lovers Elopement Co and captured by Dawn Thomson, wanted to show a new side of Queenstown.
Eichardt's Private Hotel Penthouse was the perfect backdrop for this luxurious editorial with uninterrupted views of lake and mountains. The Yacht Pacific Jemm, which belongs to Eichardt's was another reference to a luxurious European escape.
With outfits supplied by NZ and designers Karen Walker and their bridal line Karen Walker Atelier, Crane Brothers, Angel Divine Queenstown and Brooke Barett, the couple remained well dressed. (Who says an elopement can't have an outfit change, or two!) Makeup and hair was kept contemporary and elegant by Jet Makeup Artistry and Beautiful Bridal Hair.
No detail was overlooked with styling by Under the Wild Stars and florals by The Vase Flora + Foliage. The tables were styled with pieces from Gia Creative and The Style Depot with an emphasis on a monochromatic colour scheme to tie in with the elegant and sophisticated tone set throughout the entire editorial.
