At Open The Door Events, our journey began over eight years ago with a different vision of success. We set out to create something that would make a positive impact, pioneering the concept of eco-conscious weddings. As one of the founders in this movement, we took the lead in educating vendors and couples on designing waste free and sustainable events, while maintaining the utmost aesthetic appeal. Our commitment extended to supporting the local community by hiring vendors from the local area and ensuring the money went back into the community. Our innovative approach sparked a transformative shift in the industry, leading to a thriving market for eco-wedding suppliers. This accomplishment not only reflects our ethos and values but also exemplifies the kind of company we are. We don't simply follow trends; we set them.
Where are you based?
In Andalusia, southern Spain.
How would you describe your style?
A touch of luxury with a laid-back vibe. It is also often described as bold, intimate, unique and effortlessly elegant.
What would you like couples to know about your business?
We work with limited number of eight couples a year so we can dedicate ourselves to designing intentional, bespoke weddings. We don’t believe in limitations or doing something a particular way because that’s how it’s always been done. We believe anything is possible and when the right people connect, magic is created.
What inspires you?
The sun rising and smudging the sky a shade of warmth, electronic music, everything about nature, architecture, an elderly couple walking hand in hand, deep conversations, learning something new, watching day turn to night, good wine.
Where would you love to travel to for work?
Our work has taken us to unbelievable destinations from Spain to Italy, Portugal, Morocco, Bali, Mexico, and Colombia. However, there is still one place that I dream about getting creative in - India. As someone with Indian heritage, I am captivated by the idea of merging the essence of Open The Door with India's vibrant culture and creating an edgy masterpiece!
What motivates you to do what you do?
The power of connection. It is an honour to craft experiences that unite loved ones, especially in a world where time spent with those who matter most can be scarce. With our destination weddings spanning three days, we ensure that the wedding day itself is devoted to pure love and celebration - and recommend a pre-wedding event for guests to break the ice and catch up. Whether our clients seek a laid-back casual vibe or an elevated and sophisticated affair, our carefully curated designs create the perfect ambience so they can fully immerse themselves in the experience.

Our dream client is someone who values our work and gives us space to get creative, they communicate their needs and trust us to work our magic.
What is your advice to couples getting married?
It's your wedding. Prioritise your own happiness above pleasing others. Stay true to what matters most to you, and regularly check in with each other to make sure you’re on the right track. Trust your heart and don’t get hung up on the little details - that’s what your wedding planners are for!
