Real Wedding | Andi + Gage

Tell us a little about yourselves!

Gage and I are both from Lafayette Louisiana. We began dating in October of 2014 and really never left each others side since!

Why did you decide to get married where you did?

When Gage accepted a job offer in another state, we knew we wanted to begin that new journey connected more than ever before…marriage! We always planned to have a big wedding with all of our friends and families but then the pandemic hit and we knew that would be an impossible task to do in such a short amount of time - and we didn’t want to wait. We kept each other first and knew we wanted it to happen already. So when we decided on our plan, we knew the only place we would want it to happen - and that was New Orleans. We both grew up going there and have so many memories in that beautiful, colorful, vibrant city. We chose Hotel Peter and Paul because of the beauty of every square inch of the property it offered and the fact that it had a hotel connected to the chapel was even better. Words cant even begin to express how perfect our day was - just the two of us.

How many guests did you have?

Just us! Unless you count our photographers, Caitlin and Thad from The September Company who were also our witnesses!!

Tell us about your outfits.

Since we decided to “elope”, I knew I wouldn’t go with the traditional long wedding gown. Instead, I had my heart set on The Edie dress by Sarah Seven from Lovely Bride Houston. Simple, short, and fitted is what I wanted, and the Edie dress gave me just that! Gage went with a custom suit from Suit Supply. He decided on no tie to stick with the laid-back vibe we wanted. His burgundy handkerchief was the perfect finish to his look.

What was the most important aspect for you, in terms of planning your wedding?

NO STRESS!! We wanted our special moment to be as easy going and stress free as possible. I did not even plan on having a bouquet and my dear friend surprised me with the most beautiful bouquet from Fat Cat Flowers, sent straight to our hotel room, and I am so glad she did!
