Tell us about your business!

La Fin is an editorial and documentary style photography line created by husband and wife Kimberly and Raphael Molina. We come from a fashion and film photography background that helps us bring a unique perspective to capturing weddings. We focus our work on candid and romantic moments reminiscent of classic cinema.

How would you describe your style?

We value every couple we work with and every wedding is unique to us so we aim to capture the essence of each celebration. When we’re shooting, we focus on the qualities of film photography and we’re candid and intimate in our approach. Our shooting style means being present in every moment and leaning into the natural elements of the day. We love rich colors, moody lighting, and a pop of flash.

What motivates you to do what you do?

Coming from our background in fashion, it’s refreshing to connect with couples on a different level and experience genuine moments together. We truly aspire to bring something unique to the industry with a creative vision that merges our collective experience and how the couple sees their lives coming together.

Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?

Absolutely. Every couple is different and we value being able to offer customizable packages depending on their vision. We also know that some may be looking to keep things simple and we happily provide base packages for those interested in a more streamlined approach. We want our clients to feel comfortable talking about rates. We’re passionate about what we do and always want it to be a conversation.

Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?

We shoot both. Coming from a film photography background we believe that there's nothing quite like it. Film just has that timeless feel to it which encapsulates the feeling of those fleeting moments so well. Shooting film has taught us to be intentional with every image regardless of the medium. Because of our experience, we feel that all of the qualities of film are passed onto our digital work to deliver a seamless gallery to our couples.

Where are you based?

We’re based in Los Angeles, CA.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes! We love traveling for weddings and are constantly inspired by the places we visit.

Where would you love to travel to for work?

We stayed on a quiet farm just outside of Paris during our anniversary and we think of that experience often. It would be a dream of ours to shoot a wedding reminiscent of the old architecture and beautiful natural landscape that surrounded us there. We would love to travel where these elements are present and where you can feel a sense of history.

What is your favourite product or service that you offer and why?

We talk about this a lot, but it's definitely our Film Lovers Package. We love to shoot film and firmly believe it's not just a trend for us, but who we are.

Who is your dream client?

Our dream client is a couple who values a distinct style. A client that has a vision for themselves and brings forward a confident fashion choice or quiet elegance. We believe we reserve a space in this industry for those who see themselves in this light. Our work very much elevates and is pointed to those characteristics.
