Where are you based?
I am based on the California coast, in a lovely beach town between Malibu and Santa Barbara.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes, I travel for weddings internationally.
How would you describe your style?
While I approach my shoots and weddings with a heart centred and intentional approach, the day of I’m taking on a mindset of “total experience”– this looks like multiple niches of photography to tell the whole story– photojournalism, emotions, portraits, movement, architectural imagery and special details. I want my clients to re-experience their wedding every time they look at their gallery. This sounds funny, but I want them to remember the fragrance of the day, the breeze that brushed through their hair, the deep feelings that swelled up within, the special people that were there and most importantly– their love. It’s an all encompassing experience and style.
What inspires you?
I would say the coast inspires me. Travel inspires me. New land, architecture, the way the light sweeps through the city. People, sculptures, sunsets, relationships. I’m always finding something or someone to be inspired by. There is beauty and inspiration awaiting around every corner.
What motivates you to do what you do?
Every part of what I create is telling a story visually. I would say every couple and who they are motivates me to create imagery that reflects them and their story! Prior to an engagement shoot we do a deep dive, including tests for personality types, aesthetics, what they do for date nights and we design a session that truly reflects each client’s unique relationship. Their story motivates me to create new and unique art, because no couple is the same! How cool is that.
How would you describe your working style?
I would say my working style is full of joy, keeping things fluid and fun. We lay the groundwork prior to engagements and wedding days so that the time we spend together is fun, free-flowing and effortless!
Do you shoot digitally, on film or both?
I shoot both digital and 35mm film.
Do you have custom packages according to individual needs?
I offer wedding collections and create custom quotes for unique wedding happenings.
Where would you love to travel to for work?
I look forward to traveling to new countries this year and the years to come! Some include– France, Italy, Portugal, Greece and Australia!
Who is your dream client?
My dream clients are couples who want an intentional experience. They want effortless imagery that allows them to feel it forever. My couples enjoy celebrating, a good bottle of vino and artisanal dining experiences. They have a lot of fun and make the most out of life!
What is your advice to couples getting married?
I would say, with every bit of planning, ask 'Do I love this? Do we love this?' Stay true to who you are and who you are as a couple! And most importantly, enjoy the journey.
