Dreaming of Berlin.

I still vividly remember one of the first shots I came across that really embodied The Anti-Bride to me. It was a combination of pants styled with a reverse baseball cap and veil by the killer duo of Ritual Unions and Karolina Woznicka (aka White Pick). It is still one of my favourite images to date. (Scroll right down to the start of my account to see it!)

Needless to say I was over the moon when Karolina approached me in recent weeks to submit a few recent shots.

When asked about the inspiration for her mid-summer shoot Karolina explained :"When I'm in the middle of editorial productions, there are always dresses and accessories left over that I am not able to integrate. I don't like sending the pieces back unused. That's how this project came about, in a sense the inspiration behind these images was that I like working "sustainably". I wanted to create something light, summery but at the same time urban." The shoot took place in the backyard of her Berlin studio that she shares with Karin from Ritual Unions.

Mixing some pieces (including a cape!) from Halfpenny London as well as Ritual Unions, with street wear brands such as Weekday, Nike and Jasmina Jovy, photographer Brenda Bride was able to capture the urban style that is so quintessentially Berlin.

I'd love to see more brides that stick to their own personal style on their wedding day - even if it is outside the box. Let's hope you can take a little bit of inspiration from this shoot to do just that.
