It's no secret that memories and scent are interlinked, which is why couples often choose to wear a different fragrance for their wedding day. Smelling that scent again will automatically take you back to your special day.
So how do you chose the right fragrance? We keep saying this over again, however - it's important to choose something that feels like you. Think about what type of perfume you normally wear and try to match the notes or particular ingredient that keeps coming up. Make sure to get samples and smell them again later that day or even the following day, before making up your mind.
There are a few perfumeries which offer the option of a custom scent, if you would like to make something that is truely unique to you. Le Labo makes all their unisex scents fresh to order and have a great online shop where you can order samples if you aren't able to make it to their Sydney or Melbourne stores to make a decision.
Also, it's perfectly fine if you end up finding it hard to replace your signature scent and end up wearing it instead. A scent, just as every other detail of your wedding should be personal and meaningful. Therefore if you feel more like 'you' wearing the scent you normally wear, do that instead!

Le Labo Santal 33
This fragrance is smokey and leathery and definitely far from your pretty, floral scent. Full of earthy tones this is perfect for a bride who wants to break the mould. This is a unisex fragrance which leans towards the more commonly masculine fragrance notes. It is on the more expensive side, but worth the spend.
Byredo Gypsy Water
Byredo perfumes are on the expensive side, but are a great option if you are wanting to splurge on your wedding day scent. Gypsy Water is one of their best sellers and is a fresh, clean and easy to wear scent that marries notes of Juniper berries, incense, vanilla and sandalwood.
Gucci Bloom Aqua di Fiori
Acqua Di Fiori introduces a new chapter to the world of Gucci Bloom. The addition of Green Galbanum and dainty Cassis buds bring the soft dewy freshness of the early petal and a light, aquatic composition to the signature scent. Whilst it is definitely a floral scent, it still has an element of freshness to it.
Balenciaga Paris EDP
Balenciaga Paris is a lovely paradox, a fragrance full of light yet balanced with dark subtlety. With notes of Violet Leaf, Pepper, Cedarwood, Patchouli and Vetiver, it has a light and mysterious feel to it.
